Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have been married for eight years, which is a huge accomplishment in the entertainment world. The couple also appeared to have avoided major issues regarding their marriage, up until the singer was caught getting a little too touchy with his Palmer costar Alisha Wainwright last November.
While it’s nothing new for co-stars to struck up a friendship, Justin and Alisha seemed to have gone beyond that border. The pair were photographed at a bar in New Orleans four months ago doing some PDA action that rocked JT’s marriage. As if that’s not enough, he was also not wearing his wedding ring at the time.
Justin Timberlake then reflected on the lesson that he has learned four months after his PDA scandal. The 39-year-old singer, songwriter, actor, and record producer said that he can’t erase his mistake, so he decided to learn from it instead.
“I don’t have any secret for growing up except to continue to try to do my best,” he said. “There’s always something to learn, and you have to realize that you have a footprint and you can’t go back and erase it. But you can improve the next path, and that’s all you can really do.”
Jessica Biel was understandably unhappy with Justin Timberlake’s PDA scandal with Alisha Wainwright. However, she chose to refrain from commenting on the matter in public.
Justin Timberlake, on the other hand, quickly took to Instagram to say his piece a couple of weeks after the photographs surfaced.
“A few weeks ago I displayed a strong lapse in judgment, but let me be clear, nothing happened between me and my co-star. I drank way too much that night and I regret my behavior,” he wrote. “I should have known better. This is not the example I want to set for my son. I apologize to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focused on being the best husband and father I can be. This was not that.”
Although Justin Timberlake’s PDA scandal put a strain on his marriage with Jessica Biel, the couple seemed to have put the incident behind them. The actress posted a sweet snap on Instagram to celebrate her husband’s birthday in January. She then captured the photo, “Happy birthday to the most timeless man I know. You somehow grow up without growing old. We love you so much.”
And on March 3, Justin Timberlake honored Jessica Biel with a loving tribute on the platform as well. “Happy Birthday to the LOVE of my life... A new adventure every day and a treasure to me. I can’t wait to share many more of these with you. Thanks for putting up with me when I smell funky after a round of golf or when I smell funky in general. You are the mostest of the mostest, my love! I adore you,” he wrote.
