ARMYs have witnessed the close bond of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook multiple times, which led them to believe that BTS is not just a boy group, it is family. Recently, J-Hope proved even more how tight his relationship with the boys is when he said that he can’t live without one of the members.

J-Hope recently drove fans into a frenzy when he became extra active on Weverse. The 26-year-old rapper, songwriter, dancer, and record producer first shared a post saying that he had a nightmare, then started replying to his members and ARMYs posts.

One fan asked J-Hope, “What do you think about a hyung like this?” while posting a GIF of Jin from their Samsung “Galaxy X BTS: Captured #withGalaxy S20 Series” video. Mr. Worldwide Handsome can be seen dancing while making a silly face, and J-hope couldn’t help but reply to it.

“I love a hyung like this,” J-Hope said. “This hyung is my favorite in the whole wide world. In fact, I will look at this whenever I feel down. I don’t think I can live without a hyung like this.”

J-Hope’s response had ARMYs weak especially because it is expected that Jin will be enlisting this year. Article 39 of the Constitution of the Republic of Korea states that all citizens have “the duty of national defense.”

The law has no exception unless they are Olympic medalists, accomplished international athletes, and other individuals. But, in the music sphere, only classical artists are exempted from the rule. BTS is a K-pop boy group, which means they are not eligible for such exclusions.

During BTS’ online global press conference for their new album MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 on February 24, the question regarding Jin’s military enlistment was brought up. Although the BTS star noted that this is a sensitive topic, he tried his best to answer the question.

“I know many people are curious about this topic and all I can say is that no decisions have been made yet,” Jin said. “I believe that military enlistment is a part of my duty and I am ready to accept it whenever the country calls me in. If something does become confirmed, I hope to show my best to everyone.”

It’s no secret that BTS looks up to Jin a lot, not only because he’s the oldest member of the group, but he has a lot of admirable qualities. Although the 27-year-old singer and songwriter is mostly known for his playful ways, which is why he is dubbed as the “Fake Maknae” of BTS, he always makes sure to share a positive influence with the members.
