Now, a new report claims that Meghan Markle “hated” wearing the Royal wardrobe and is now happy to ditch it for her own style. The source said that the Duchess of Sussex is more of a “sweats or yoga pants” kind of girl and Royal dresses are not her thing.
“Gone are the days where she had to stick to royal dress code, she’s much more comfortable wearing casual clothes — flats, jeans, and sweaters,” the insider said. “She hated always having to be dressed to the nines as a royal and the old-fashioned rules and regulations — like wearing dresses below the knee. Now that she’s moved to Canada, she spends most of the day in sweats or yoga pants.”
The source added that Meghan Markle looks forward to living a stress-free life where she’s not worried about public scrutiny. It can be recalled that the former actress had been a favorite topic of critics, watching her every move and report every alleged error that they see.
“Don’t expect Meghan to be stuck indoors now that she’s living in Canada. She’s relieved to finally have some freedom in her life,” the tipster continued. “To do whatever she wants without the royals watching her every move. She’s already leading a normal life again — driving around, doing the grocery shopping, running errands and that kind of thing.”
The insider also alleged that Meghan Markle thought that having to curtsy to high-ranking royals was “ridiculous.” The source said, "She thought it was ridiculous and that was honestly a big, big problem for her.”
A previous report even claimed that Meghan Markle was not a fan of Queen Elizabeth’s jewelry collection as she was only seen wearing it once.
“With statement pieces often borrowed from the Royal collection, Kate loves to wear sets that match as well as adding in colored stones that make a statement. Kate’s choice is more traditional and in keeping with Royal traditional styling,” stylist Charlotte Balbier said. “Meghan is almost the complete opposite opting for fine pieces often delicate and small, almost smaller the better. Petite bangles and small earrings are Meghan’s signature look. Less is more.”
Meanwhile, Kate Middleton still continuously borrows from Queen Elizabeth’s jewelry collection. The possible reason behind this is that the Duchess of Cambridge may like the designs.
