The official music video for SEVENTEEN's new Japanese single 'Fallin' Flower' is finally out and it is even more beautiful than fans have expected. The concept of the new single has already been teased through the release of the concept photos as well as a teaser for the MV. Needless to say, Carats were already expecting the MV to be a work of art. However, fans were still blown away when the music video was finally dropped early on Tuesday, March 24.
The full MV for 'Fallin' Flower' was released by the SEVENTEEN Japan Official YouTube channel early on Tuesday, March 24. The video opens with Jun dressed all in white floating under a lush flower bed that appears to be attached to the ceiling. Meanwhile, the group is shown dancing in their flower formation before The8 and Hoshi are featured dancing and struggling while attached to chains. In another scene, Jeonghan is lying on a feathery bed and his wrist is also chained up.
There is yet another SEVENTEEN member who is tied up in the MV. Wonwoo is featured kneeling in white sand with his wrists bound by rope. In a separate scene, Woozi appears to be working on a painting while Joshua looks trapped inside a room with delicate spider webs. It is also revealed that Hong Jisoo's hand is covered in golden thorns.
It's a gorgeous concept that balances delicate visuals with stronger ones, like Jun and Jeonghan being depicted as the "falling flowers" as two other members The8 and Hoshi dance powerfully while bound to each other by chains. The video also appears to have a powerful storyline suggesting that Jun is the savior who comes to Wonwoo's rescue. It all concludes with S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino gathering under the mysterious flower bed.
The members of SEVENTEEN were quick to point out that the dance is symbolic in the music video. "The hands are very important in this dance because each hand and movement expresses everything that flutters in the trees and flowers," DK said in an interview.
The music video for 'Fallin' Flower' was unveiled ahead of the Japanese single's release on April 1. SEVENTEEN is also expected to take on their first Japan Dome Tour that will take place in four different cities around the country. The concert tour will begin in May.
