There is little doubt that people around the world are currently concerned about the Coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19) and have decided to stay at home for the mandatory self-isolation to prevent the disease from spreading. However, there are still a few celebrities who are not thoroughly convinced that the pandemic is as serious as it seems. For instance, Evangeline Lilly recently confirmed that she has sent her children to gymnastic camp and is somehow refusing to simply stay at home, insisting that her freedom is important. Needless to say, the Ant-Man and the Wasp star's decision isn't being taken lightly by other concerned citizens like Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner.
Evangeline Lilly previously shared two photos on her official Instagram account showing a cup of tea. Although the post seemed innocent enough, it was the Lost star's caption that worried her followers. "Just dropped my kids off at gymnastics camp. They all washed their hands before going in. They are playing and laughing," Lilly wrote before adding the hashtag #businessasusual.
Not surprisingly, people were concerned that Evangeline Lilly was putting her children in trouble considering that there have been warnings about social distancing amidst COVID-19. Some have even commented that she should use the social media platform to help spread the word about being safe during the pandemic. However, the star of The Hobbit has ignored all the comments. A few fans have even pointed out that Lilly is choosing to go about her business without much concern about other people.
Interestingly, Evangeline Lilly's decision to avoid self-isolation has not gone unnoticed. Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner decided to go off on the Marvel Cinematic Universe actress for possibly endangering her own children during COVID-19. Turner took to Instagram to address Lilly and say a few choice words.
In the video, Sophie Turner tells Evangeline Lilly "stay inside" and not to be "stupid" during the pandemic. The Dark Phoenix star stated that "even if you count your freedom over your health," Turner claimed that she didn't care about Lilly's "freedom."
"You could be infecting other people, other vulnerable people around you by doing this, so stay inside guys! It's not cool, it's not big, and it's not clever... And that's the tea," Turner concluded.
Evangeline Lilly has yet to comment on Sophie Turner's post about the former's decision to refuse self-isolation. In the meantime, people are advised to continue social distancing and self-isolate to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.
