There is a good reason why Mingyu of SEVENTEEN is a fan favorite. In addition to his good looks and sculpted physique, Kim Mingyu is a talented performer who can sing, dance, and rap. Moreover, the rapper has proven that he is the group's handyman who makes sure everything in their dorm is working perfectly and even cooks most of their meals. But is it possible that Mingyu is seriously considering a new career after being a successful idol?

Fans have always admired Mingyu and his skills in the kitchen, which have been revealed in several episodes of the SEVENTEEN shows. The rapper is often shown cooking for his fellow members in the group's shows like One Fine Day and Going Seventeen. In addition to that, Kim Mingyu is known for his mukbang VLives where he prepares the food before eating in front of his viewers. So has the time come for the food-loving idol to pursue a different career that will show off his culinary skills?

Mingyu recently took part in the latest installment of IF Seventeen where he and his fellow members Woozi, Seungkwan, and Vernon had to cook a burger that would impress Joshua. Although fans were expecting the rapper to do well in The Battle of Burgers challenge, there was one dilemma: He had to cook squid, an ingredient he wasn't familiar with. Needless to say, Kim Mingyu struggled with the seafood since he had to clean and cut it himself. In addition to that, Joshua had already admitted that he didn't like the taste of squid, which put pressure on Mingyu.

Although he struggled, it became clear that Mingyu's talent paid off in the end. Joshua ultimately chose his squid burger as the best one. Not surprisingly, the other SEVENTEEN members also wanted to taste Kim Mingyu's "Dumbfounded" burger. As revealed in the new IF Clip The Battle of Burgers Epilogue, the rapper happily allowed Woozi, Seungkwan, and Vernon to sample his creation.

In the video, Woozi, Seungkwan, and Vernon got to try Mingyu's "Dumbfounded" squid burger. Boo Seungkwan was so impressed with the dish that he ate his burger in one bite. The main vocalist then declared that the rapper should sell the burger on Rodeo Street where food shops are available. Interestingly, Kim Mingyu seemed to like the idea, asking if he should open a store.

Interestingly, the other SEVENTEEN members liked the idea. Woozi even suggested a name for Mingyu's store on Rodeo Street. Lee Jihoon recommended the rapper to call his store "Uh-Chou-Gu-Ni", which means "ridiculous." Kim Mingyu then played with the name, asking if he should call it "Uh-Chou-Gyu-Ni" as a play on his own name.

For now, Mingyu's future Rodeo Street food shop will have to wait. The rapper is expected to join the rest of SEVENTEEN in the group's Japan Dome Tour in May.
