If Taylor Swift is channeling her effort to help her fellow Americans amidst the coronavirus pandemic, her publicist couldn't sit back while Kim Kardashian is lashing the singer on social media. Swift's publicist Tree Paine hit back on Kanye West's wife after the reality show star said Taylor is still lying and "self-serving."

Kardashian broke her silence over the recently leaked tape of Swift and West's infamous phone conversation in 2016 about the latter's song "Famous." In the leaked tape, West can be heard asking Swift's permission to use her name in his "Famous" song. However, the rapper did not tell Taylor that he would refer to her as "that bitch".

Kim posted a series of tweets after many netizens sided on Taylor and said Kanye was the one who lied about the phone conversation. In one of her tweets, Kim said the "Bad Blood" singer lied again through her publicist who stated that Kanye never called to ask for Taylor's permission before "Famous" was released in 2016. The SKIMS creator said Swift "manipulated the truth" of what she and the rapper talked about.

Kim said the issue was never about the word "b****" in lyrics but whether or not there was a call and the tone of the conversation. She added Taylor just chose to reignite an old feud amidst more important matters like the coronavirus pandemic. Kim said Taylor is "self-serving" for drawing attention to the leaked tape.

"@taylorswift13 has chosen to reignite an old exchange - that at this point in time feels very self-serving given the suffering millions of real victims are facing right now," the mother-of-four said.

Swift's publicist Tree Paine, in return, hit back on Keeping Up With The Kardashians star. In her post, Paine mentioned that Kanye did not call to ask Taylor's approval but to ask the "ME!" songstress to promote "Famous" on her Twitter account.

The publicist said Taylor declined and cautioned Kanye about releasing a track with such a strong misogynistic message. Paine also clapped back on Kim and Kanye by teasing that the video was leaked because the couple could have pissed off someone.

Meanwhile, Taylor gave her thoughts about the leaked conversation via a post on Instagram. The singer said the tape proved that she is telling the truth the whole time.

However, instead of dwelling on the issue, Taylor urged her fans to focus on more important matters. She asked them to donate to the charity, Feeding America, to help those in need amidst the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

It can be recalled that Taylor took a hiatus after she was slammed over her reaction when "Famous" was released. Kim and Kanye insisted that Taylor gave her approval of the line. Kim also posted some excerpts of the controversial phone call to show Swift had spoken to her husband and has been enthusiastic about the song. Taylor received serious backlash because of it and her social media accounts had been flooded with harsh comments from people accusing her of lying.
