Taylor Swift's revelations in her documentary, Miss Americana, have been the talk of the town since it was released last week. Among those that the "Lover" talked about was the impact on her life of scandals involving Kanye West.

The on-and-off friendship between Taylor and The Life of Pablo hitmaker has brought back to life in the new Netflix docu. Swift revealed that how the infamous interruption of West of her acceptance speech for Video of the Year at the 2009 MTV VMAs changed how she sees the rapper and herself.

At the time, Taylor's "You Belong with Me" won the Best Video by a Female Artist, beating Beyonce's " "Single Ladies. The "Bad Blood" singer said when Kanye told the audience that Beyonce has the best music video and the crowd started to react on it, she thought they were booing her.

"For someone who's built their whole belief system on getting people to clap for you, the whole crowd booing is a pretty formative experience," Swift said in Miss Americana docu.

The two did become friends after Kim Kardashian's husband asked Taylor to be the presenter of his Vanguard Award at the 2015 MTV VMAs. In an interview with The Rolling Stone last year, Swift admitted that she got persuaded by Kanye to present an award to him after they talked over the phone for over an hour.

The "Shake It Off" singer said West told her all the reasons why it means to much for him that Taylor presents the award. But then, everything turned sour quickly when West said during his acceptance speech that Swift giving him the award would boost the ratings of VMAs.

Taylor admitted that she was upset as she realized at that very moment that Kanye is a "two-faced" person. However, she got over it when Kanye famously sent her a huge flower arrangement.

Then, "Famous" came in 2016. Netflix included the scandal in Miss Americana documentary as well as the backlash that Taylor received because of West's song.

When Kanye released "Famous," Swift claimed the rapper did not caution her about the actual lyrics of the song. West's wife, Kim Kardashian, fired back and posted a video of her husband and Swift discussing the song prior to its release.

In the documentary, Swift revealed that the said scandal affected her so much to the point that she made a decision to took a hiatus for a year. Then she bounced back in her 2017 album, Reputation.

In the album, the singer poured all her feelings out. She used lyrics such as "I'm sorry, the old Taylor can't come to the phone right now/Why?/Oh, 'cause she's dead!"

Taylor said she intentionally play on the idea of a phone call since her supposed friendship with Kanye West started with a phone call that she received from the rapper, asking her to present him the Vanguard. Taylor said she regrets picking up that call.

In her acceptance speech for winning the Album of the Year at the 2016 Grammy Awards, Taylor also threw a jab on West. She indirectly addressed Kanye's "Famous" lyrics by saying to all of her fans to just focus on their work and don't mind the people who will try to undercut or take credit for their success.

Today, the two are keeping their distance from each other. They haven't seen attending the same event since the "Famous" feud.
