Members of the British Royal Family have been breaking their silence over the COVID-19 outbreak in the United Kingdom. While it was not largely expected, Sophie, the Countess of Wessex recently shared a video on social media urging parents and children to "stay safe" in their respective homes.

According to The Sun UK, the 55-year-old royal also offered advice and support to all the families, especially across the UK, who are truly in need during this "period of uncertainty." She reportedly said that despite all of the current challenges, "don't feel alone."

Countess Sophie also shared that everyone should "make use" of the available resources today, and the ones that are shared by "fantastic digital communities." She then went on to highlight some of the charities that she supports.

As reported, she initially mentioned NSPCC. This charity was said to help individuals, notably, parents, in giving advice on how to best talk to children about the novel coronavirus.

Tips are also included on how to stay calm while informing the younger generations about the facts of the virus. It was said that they help parents to ask kids about their knowledge of the outbreak, and how and why they should not "dismiss" the fears.

Countess Sophie also urged the public to participate in the ISPCC Childline Challenge. She reportedly revealed that, during the lockdown, parents and children will be given "challenges" or activities "to help beat boredom."

In the end, she ended the video message on a thoughtful note saying "thinking of you all."

The same publication shared that, based on the background of the video, it appeared that it was recorded inside the Wessex's household in Bagshot Park. It was then covered in the same report that the Countess' daughter, Lady Louise was the one who filmed her mother for the "emotional" video.

In a similar report released by Express UK, it was stated that Countess Sophie, along with her daughter, was highly "praised" by royal fans and followers. It was pointed out that she did not only shared a video message because she is a royal. Rather, she was able to become very "relatable" since she essentially shared her concern and support as a mother to her two kids, and a patron of her charities and associations.

Some netizens went on to share their thoughts on the comment section of the post. Most of them even described Countess Sophie as a "treasure" and an "asset" to the Royal Family and the Queen.
