Harry Kane has played most of his professional time with Tottenham but winning a club title remains elusive for the man widely considered as the best striker in the Premier League, if not in the game. If the Spurs' title-drought continues, it is likely that the England captain will seek to better his fortune elsewhere.

As Kane will be 27 this year, he may not have the patience for Tottenham to start picking up and win championships. He could be moving out soon for a greener pasture and the most that he could give to the Spurs is another 12 months, according to Alan Shearer.

"My guess is, if he doesn't win anything in the next 12 months then he has to leave .... He'll do another year, I think, and if nothing comes in terms of trophies, then he'll be off," Metro reported the Premier League's scoring champion as saying.

Since Kane re-signed with Tottenham in 2018, the closest that the club got to winning trophies were runner-up finishes in the Champions League and the EFP Cup. The striker is considered to be the best in his class but his personal glory has been overshadowed by the fact that he remains luckless in the club honor department.

If the trend continues for Tottenham in the next campaign, then club boss Jose Mourinho could soon stare at the possibility of losing his star player.

However, Kane is tied up with the Spurs until 2024 so there is no pressing reason for the club to worry for a surprise transfer deal. That means the only way the forward can win his ticket for a way out is for an interested team to pay the cost, which the report said would be an "astronomical fee."

Notwithstanding, elite clubs are lined up to get Kane on their rosters and they Manchester City and Manchester United. The Red Devils seem ready to come up with the cash required for Kane to make the jump even if the cost will be up to £150 million, Fox Sports reported.

But according to Rio Ferdinand, it will be a long shot for the side of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to lure Kane out of North London. The reason is Mourinho, the man that Solskjaer replaced as the United team manager in 2018.

"This geezer scores goals but I don't see Tottenham letting Harry Kane go. And with Mourinho there, I don't see Mourinho letting him go to Manchester United," the former United defender was reported as saying.

Ferdinand said that Kane would be a great addition to the United roster, stressing that "if he's fit and he's raring to go, you take Harry Kane at Manchester United, 100 percent."
