In-demand football manager Massimiliano Allegri is said to be enjoying retirement and has no plans to get a new job soon, more so taking over from someone. A representative of the iconic football figure has dismissed the rumors that the Italian is preparing to take over from Manchester United's current boss.

According to Giovanni Branchini, while his client has been recharged since leaving Juventus last year, there is no deal on hand that will see him getting the job now handled by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Allegri ended his tenure at Juventus last summer and has been on a break since then. When United was struggling at the start of the season, talks swirled around that Solskjaer would be sacked and the rumors persisted through January this year.

However, Allegri's agent said it is unlikely that a change of head coach in United or any other club will take place at the moment. For one, no club is hiring at this stage and mainly due to the coronavirus outbreak, Branchini said, and according to Metro.

Said the agent: "To date, nobody is thinking about their coach of next year. Everyone thinks of this season, we were therefore focused on this season."

Branchini also offered that his client made use of his months of downtime recharging, which apparently has achieved the desired results. He suggested Allegri might be ready to work again but that will depend on the circumstances to come, indicating that the Italian is more accepting of the reality now.

"Max has enjoyed a peaceful year, he needed it. He is recharged and lives the reality that we are all living, we will see how things will go," the agent said.

As to the question of what is next for Allegri, Branchini stated that "making assumptions today would be making fun of people."

The veteran manager ended his run at Juventus last year after steering the Italian giants to five Serie A titles. Goal said Allegri called it quit while on top of his game so he remains on top of consideration for clubs looking for a leadership that will bring the desired results.

It should be noted that United is not the only Premier League outfit that monitored the development of Allegri. When Arsenal decided to sack Unai Emery in late 2019, the name of Allegri was floated around as permanent replacement but the Gunners ended up hiring Mikel Arteta.

There were reports too that Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are interested, the latter in case Zinedine Zidane leaves the clubs again, while Juventus has not closed the door on the likely return of Allegri.
