One of the questions in the current season of Chicago P.D. is whether or not Tracy Spiridakos is leaving her role Hailey Upton in the series. Right now, there is no certain answer to that question and it seems like the writers want viewers to wonder about her fate in the NBC show.

The recent episode of Chicago P.D. showed that Upton is somehow going through the dark path, which is not actually good. In addition, she also had a heated confrontation with Voight and he already made it clear to her that he didn't what her to become him.

Now, it looks like Upton is heading to New York and it's uncertain how long she will be there. Many were worried about the character's fate, given that the series also lost Erin Lindsay to the Big Apple. Upton is not going there for a vacation, it's actually a punishment for her recent actions.

Apparently, Voight believes that there can only be one person like him. But then, we also know that Upton still has a lot of stories to tell in the series. Moreover, it's interesting to see what will happen to her relationship with Jay Halstead.

For now, there is no actual confirmation that Spiridakos is indeed leaving Chicago P.D. There isn't also any indication that the previous episode serves as her final appearance. In addition, some plans for Upton may no longer play out this season considering the current crisis around the world.

Some episodes of the series have been cut-down due to the threat of the COVID-19, so it's would be hard to predict whether we'll see Upton again this season of not. And based on some predictions, the series will reportedly have two more episodes set to air.

But although Upton will not be part of the upcoming episodes, viewers can still see Spiridakos appearing on another series. It was recently confirmed the actress will be joining FBI in its new episode. This may also explain her absence in the NBC series.

As for what's coming in the next episode of Chicago P.D., Adam Ruzek is distancing himself from Kim Burgess for some reasons. This may cause a problem between them, especially since Burgess tried to reconnect with him but it looks like he doesn't feel the same way.

The main question here is why would Ruzek distance himself from Burgess considering that they've been through a lot already? Perhaps, he feels insecure about himself, or he's somehow working on something and wouldn't want to put Burgess in danger.

New episodes of Chicago P.D. air every Wednesday night on NBC.
