The draft this year will see the entry of another Ball as Lonzo Ball's sibling, LaMelo will be in the lot. The latter has made a considerable impression while playing in Australia and scout reports indicated he could be a top pick. However, the Warriors are passing up on the point guard, reports said.

Golden State is on track to finish the season with only 15 wins and 50 losses, which in the NBA would mean the team will be the first to cherry-pick from the draft. That being the case, it seemed that the chance is slim Steve Kerr is taking a second hard look on Ball.

That was the report from the San Francisco Chronicle's Connor Letourneau, who claimed Ball is not in consideration by the Warriors and the chief reason is the player's skill set, which the club found still underwhelming.

The journalist also said: "League sources don't believe the Warriors are high on Ball - not because of the drama surrounding his father," and per Fadeaway World.

While Ball made a mark playing in Australia, where he averaged 17 points and 6.8 assists, the Warriors appear to view as still inadequate. He surely can shoot even from beyond the arc but this talent is lacking with consistency.

"Ball's court vision and passing ability are superb, but he has yet to prove he can knock down 3-pointers consistently, defend NBA athletes or improve his shot selection," Letourneau was reported as saying.

It's quite obvious will thrive as a point guard, perhaps to further in the mold of Stephen Curry, but there lies the problem. Curry is with the Dubs already so there is no room to make for Ball on that department.

It might be that Ball could help in the frontcourt but the Warriors are more inclined to fill this need by checking out what the 2020 draft can offer.

Meanwhile, LaVar Ball has reacted to the suggestion that his sons, specifically LaMelo, were being shunned by NBA clubs and he was to blame. As reports have indicated, teams might just pass up on the younger Ball because of his father's antics.

"No. I couldn't be baggage ... But here's the thing. If you don't take my son LaMelo [based] on how you feel about me, he ain't supposed to be there anyway. I'm not on the court," Clutch Points reported the older Ball as saying.

Still, it's hard to deny that LaVar's presence is not something that NBA teams and players appreciate. As the report said: "It's ... not shocking that some teams could be turned off by LaVar's overbearing 'basketball dad' tendencies."

It is a shame though that his father will be getting in the way of Ball's NBA career, especially considering that one scout report on LaMelo likened his passing skills to that of Luka Doncic.
