The month of April is usually busy for the royal family. A lot of events are supposed to be celebrated at this time, but Buckingham Palace already announced the cancelation of each event due to the coronavirus outbreak in the United Kingdom. However, there is a still a reason for them to celebrate even in their own homes as this month holds a lot of personal occasion for Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Kate Middleton, and Prince William.
Prince Charles And Camilla's Wedding Anniversary
On April 9, the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall are about to celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary. The couple tied the knot on the said day in 2005 after a lot of controversies and issue. Despite what they have been through, they both managed to weather all the storms, championing their love.
Queen Elizabeth's Birthday
Her Majesty is about to turn 94 years old on April 21. Most probably, the Queen will be at Windsor Castle on that day, as she is still in self-isolation with her husband, Prince Philip, since March 19, Hello! Magazine noted. Surely, there will be a lot of greetings from the rest of the royal family through their social media pages, and Queen Elizabeth may celebrate her special day at the comfort of her own home.
Prince Louis' Birthday
After Queen Elizabeth's birthday, Kate Middleton and Prince William's youngest son, Prince Louis, will also celebrate her 2nd birthday on April 23. The young prince was born in 2018 at the Lindo Wing at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington. Although there may be no grand celebration, the Duchess of Cambridge is expected to release a photo of their kid, personally taken by her, on their official Instagram account.
Prince William and Kate Middleton's Wedding Anniversary
Prince Charles and Camilla are not the only ones who will celebrate their wedding anniversary this month, but Prince William and Kate Middleton, too. On April 29, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be celebrating their ninth wedding anniversary. The two got married at Westminster Abbey in 2011 after they met at the University of St Andrews.
Canceled Royal Events
Business Times recently reported that due to the coronavirus outbreak in the U.K, the Government advised everyone to practice social distancing and avoid big gatherings. Hence, Buckingham Palace adhered to the order and canceled a lot of royal events, including the grand celebration of Queen Elizabeth's birthday. Trooping the Colour, royal garden parties, Japanese state visit, Maundy service, Chelsea flower show, Royal Windsor horse show, and the weekly audience are now all postponed.
