As football in Europe remains suspended, the likelihood of Juventus letting go of Cristiano Ronaldo becomes even more apparent. Reports said the Italian giants are losing money because of the coronavirus outbreak and a quick fix being considered by the club is the sale of the Portuguese superstar.

Ronaldo makes £500,000 per week in the Serie A club and sending him to an interested team will easily save the management millions in a month. Since the games have been halted for nearly a month now, the revenues have dipped and Juventus will surely welcome a serious cash injection.

Local reports from Italy have indicated that the price tag attached to the striker is around £65 million and while the information that came out remains unconfirmed, teams have already expressed willingness to start talks with the Turin giants.

Manchester United, where Ronaldo played between 2003 and 2009, has emerged as a possible destination but according to The Sun, another former club of the player could be in the running as well.

For a discounted price of £50 million, the side of Zinedine Zidane would be able to bring Ronaldo back to Bernabeu. The prospect of having the striker on his roster might just excite the French boss even though the former Galactico is now 35.

That's because he remains in top-form and in the two seasons he has played in Italy so far, Ronaldo is among the leading goalscorers in Serie A. The promise is there that he can still play competitively in the next two to three years and can power Real to win titles.

In his 10 years of tenure at the Spanish capital, Ronaldo pocketed four Champions League titles and he might just deliver one or a couple more before retiring.

However, AS said Real Madrid seemed not interested in hiring back the Portuguese star. The possibility of Ronaldo's return to the city is next to zero, the report claimed, adding the Spanish giants have already set their priorities in the near future, which excludes Ronaldo.

"He does not fit into the sporting policy of the club ... His time has passed and there are different sporting objectives," the report quoted an unnamed Real insider as saying.

The same source stated that while Ronaldo could leave Juventus soon, the star's next destination does not include the Santiago Bernabeu.

AS said the Los Blancos are focused on building a younger squad so the hiring of younger sensations is a top priority. Zidane is more excited to land Kylian Mbappe and Real is looking to secure the Frenchman's signature in the summer of 2021.
