Prime Minister Boris Johnson previously announced that Britons are only allowed to leave their homes to buy necessities, for medical needs, travel to or from work if they are unable to work from home, and once a day exercise. This is an attempt to stop the spread of COVID-19. The rule should be strictly followed until it is lifted.
Just like everyone else in the UK and most parts of the world, the Royal family is also practicing the implemented lockdown. Now, a new report claims that Prince William and Kate Middleton are strictly following the rules of the emergency protocol.
“Since the lockdown, it has been just them at the house with their nanny,” the Vanity Source source said. “I’m sure they would love to see their extended families but right now they are following the Government guidelines and not seeing anyone.”
Before the announcement of the lockdown, Prince William and Kate Middleton visited an NHS center in South London to support the frontline workers.
While they were there, Prince William and Kate Middleton discussed the matter with the staff and officials regarding the coronavirus outbreak, where they were confronted with a “horrendous” reality. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were then left feeling “extremely concerned” over everyone’s safety.
"On April 1, William and Kate spoke to staff at two hospitals, including the Queen's Hospital in Burton which is where sadly the first confirmed hospital frontline worker died from coronavirus,” ITV News Producer Lizzie Robinson said. "They're very much involved and trying to kind of play their part and still carry out some kind of role even if that has to be on the telephone."
Kate Middleton wore a pink suit during her and Prince William’s visit. Royal commentator Angela Mollard claimed that the Duchess of Cambridge’s outfit had a secret meaning behind it.
"William and Kate visited the ambulance service with the NHS. I love the fact that Kate was wearing a pink Marks and Spencer suit. It was absolutely gorgeous, but I love the fact it wasn't designer. It just said 'I am one of you,’” she said. “She can afford to wear anything she likes but I love the fact that it was normal. A Marks and Spencer suit is what women in London really wear to work. She was effectively doing that."
