Princess Beatrice's wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi has long been set for May 29. However, the York royal's mother, Sarah Ferguson, expressed "some doubt" that it will push through because of the dreaded coronavirus.

Speaking with 9Honey, Fergie said that there will likely be some changes to Princess Beatrice's wedding date because of the coronavirus. However, the mother of the bride said that she has never seen her daughter this happy despite the delays in her wedding.

In March, Buckingham Palace confirmed that royal events scheduled until May have been canceled as a safety measure against the spread of the virus. One of these events is Princess Beatrice's garden wedding reception, as the Queen's gift to the couple.

Fergie, however, revealed that regardless of the circumstances, Princess Beatrice and Edo have always wanted a small wedding. She implied that her eldest daughter's big day will be different than Princess Eugenie, who had a grand wedding to Jack Brooksbank in 2018 at Windsor Castle.

Meanwhile, aside from the wedding preparations -- or the changes to it -- the Duchess of York said that she's also busy with a new project. She is set to release a new book which has been inspired by Princess Beatrice.

Fergie, who has published two children's books in the past, is working on a new novel where the main character is named Trixi-Belle. The Duchess of York's first two books were dedicated to Princess Eugenie and her late father, Major Ronald Ferguson.

She also said that she's looking forward to having her grandchildren read her stories. Fergie said that this will give her "the most wonderful sense of joy." However, her daughters have yet to confirm if they are expecting their first babies despite bookers speculating that Princess Eugenie could be pregnant this year.

Apart from the book that's keeping her busy, Fergie is also doing her part to acknowledge the frontliners of this coronavirus pandemic. Together with her family, Fergie is preparing and sending care packages to medical workers.

Since the outbreak escalated in mid-March, she has been sharing photos of the distribution of the care packages at various hospitals around London. Even her ex-husband Prince Andrew has been helping out with the preparations and distribution.

Fergie has also been diligent in partnering with many donors and big businesses to give nurses and doctors gifts and things they can use. She has also been openly sharing positive vibes to her online followers by posting inspiring quotes and beautiful photos.
