Like many people in the world, Princess Eugenie is dealing with a coronavirus scare so close to home. Her father-in-law, George Brooksbank, 71, has, reportedly, been taken into intensive care because of his coronavirus symptoms.

According to Daily Mail, Princess Eugenie's father-in-law is in a serious but stable condition  at the ICU. His wife, Nicola, 66, is also positive for coronavirus and has been recovering in self-isolation at the Brooksbank home.

Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack are, reportedly, getting some support from family and friends amid this traumatizing turn of events. The Brooksbank family is also "hugely grateful" that George is getting excellent care at the hospital.

George is a retired accountant who proudly witnessed his son getting married to Princess Eugenie at Windsor's St. George's Chapel on October 2018. The royal wedding was also attended by Queen Elizabeth and many senior members of the royal family.

Amid this family crisis, Princess Eugenie and Jack have been actively doing their part to help medical workers from the NHS. The couple has been dropping off care packages to the frontliners for the last few weeks, together with Eugenie's older sister, Princess Beatrice, and her their mother Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York.

These care packages include grocery items, fruits and vegetables as well as other essentials that medical workers may need but won't have time to shop for because of their dedication and commitment to many patients struggling to manage their virus symptoms. The Yorks sought out help from companies who were willing to donate the goods.

According to reports, the Yorks have dropped off pasta, pasta sauces, toiletries, cleaning items, fruits and vegetables, as well as other goods at the Hammersmith Hospital, the Upton Hospital and a few other facilities in Westminster and Chelsea. The Duchess of York also partnered with British chocolate brands like Cadbury and Love Cocoa to donate delicious treats for the doctors, nurses and other hospital workers working around the clock to save lives and treat patients amid this pandemic.

Princess Eugenie and Jack are, reportedly, self-isolating at the Royal Lodge, the home of the Duke and Duchess of York, in the midst of this public health crisis. Princess Beatrice, on the other hand, is with her fiancé Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. The couple is planning to postpone their wedding if the pandemic isn't controlled by May. Buckingham Palace has revealed in March that their garden wedding reception will not be taking place anymore due to coronavirus.
