Prince William and Kate Middleton have been observing social distancing and isolation in Anmer Hall, along with their three kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. While their first two kids have been busy as they transitioned to remote learning due to the pandemic, the Duke and Duchess have been also occupied as they continue to engage with the public amid the crisis.

Just like the rest of the senior members of the British Royal Family, it has appeared that future King and Queen Consort of the United Kingdom have set up a virtual workplace inside the property. On Thursday, they carried out their first "virtual engagement" as they participated in a video conference call with the teachers and students of Casterton Primary Academy.

According to Harper's Bazaar, Prince William and Kate Middleton spoke with some of the students and educators of the academy as they all continue with their "structure" and curriculum. It was revealed that the students are still in school because their parents are working as the "key people" in fighting against the COVID-19 crisis in the United Kingdom.

While wearing their bunny ears on, the students reportedly showed off their drawings of their parents as they shared stories about them to the royal couple. The Duke and Duchess went on to praise everyone, including the academy, the teachers, the students, and especially, the parents of the children who are at the front lines.

"Well done" to everyone, Kate Middleton said as she empathized that the circumstance today is "not easy." Nevertheless, "it is fantastic," she added.

Before the video call ended, one of the teachers said to the royal couple that she hopes that there are chocolates, as well, in their house. As the Duke and Duchess smiled and laughed, Prince William responded that "there will be a lot of chocolates" for Easter, the HuffPost reported.

Shortly after hearing her husband's response, the Duchess of Cambridge reportedly "poked fun" at him and joked that he keeps on eating it. They all laughed together before finally ending the call.

Royal fans and watchers were reportedly surprised to learn that the Duke of Cambridge has "quite the sweet tooth," too. Several netizens even shared their thoughts on social media about the matter.

As it happens, the video call that Prince William and Kate Middleton made was posted on their official social media accounts. This allowed many of their fans and followers to commend and praise them for their commitment and "genuine" concern for the British people amid the crisis.
