Did Prince Harry and Meghan Markle buy Mel Gibson's $14.5 million Malibu house? A real estate agent apparently posted on social media that the sale was locked in but the message has since been removed.
According The Sun, real estate agent Andrea Pilot revealed on her Instagram that Prince Harry and Meghan will buy the house of the Mad Max superstar. However, when reached for a confirmation, Pilot apparently removed the post. A source also stated that a "non-disclosure" agreement was signed in connection to the sale.
TMZ confirmed that Gibson's five-bedroom Malibu property was indeed up for sale. The sprawling home, reportedly, has its own private gym, a French country kitchen, two separate pools and an access to its own private beach. It also boasts of a fabulous view, which has been described as nothing quite like anything in the Malibu area.
Sources said that Gibson's property has been on and off the market for many years. But another source told The Daily Beast that the rumor involving the Sussexes buying the property is "a complete fabrication."
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been staying in a secluded Los Angeles property since late March after moving from Vancouver, Canada. It's part of the couple's plan to find new jobs and opportunities in Hollywood since Prince Harry and Meghan gave up on their royal roles in January.
American-British aristocrat Lady Julie Montagu said that Prince Harry's new life in Los Angeles will take some time getting used to, as she personally experienced. However, Montagu also said that it will still be a good thing if Prince Harry has someone to connect with emotionally, like Meghan.
Montagu is married to the Earl of Sandwich, Lord Luke Montagu, and had to adjust her life as an aristocrat. She used to star in the reality TV show Ladies of London.
The lady said that the public might see some changes in Prince Harry as he starts to acclimate to life in Los Angeles. He may be more open to talk about his feelings as opposed to maintaining a stiff upper lip.
Meanwhile, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are believed to be observing the quarantine at home, based on the orders of the government of California. They have yet to see Meghan's mom, Doria Ragland, in person.
Doria is based just a few minutes away from Sussex royal's Los Angeles home. However, due to the quarantine the family has been keeping in touch via video conferencing.
