Homeland season 8 episode 11 is set to arrive later this week on Showtime, with the title "The English Teacher." This would be the penultimate episode of the series, so expect some twists and turns here. This season also serves as the series' final run and whatever is coming in this episode could set up something big leading to the finale.
The synopsis of Homeland season 8 episode 11 didn't give much detail about what to expect, aside from noting that Saul will use back channels, while Carrie will need one more favor. But although there's not a lot of information here, a lot of things could actually happen within this episode. Since the series is nearing its finale, one of the major storylines is Carrie finding a way to clear her name and be recognized for her work.
Carrie has done a lot of work, yet she didn't receive any recognition. She's been the center of most controversies, that's why she hasn't earned the trust of people. It remains to be seen what else she can do just to prove herself to everyone. It wouldn't be that easy for her, but she also recognized that she has to establish her legacy, clear her name, as well as protect the people she loves.
As for Saul, he'll try to do whatever he can to accomplish his goals and make sure that everything gets better. However, that wouldn't be that easy for him, as well. Since Carrie is now considered as a perceived traitor, his efforts would be more important than ever. But the problem here is whether or not people will believe him and try to listen to him.
Since Homeland season 8 episode 11 is the last one before the finale, some of the stories here will find a way to tie all the loose ends. For instance, the series needs to figure out how to bring peace within the two countries: the United States and Afghanistan. Yet, if ever peace couldn't be achieved, then it could somehow find a way to make sure there are no more lives lost.
There has been a lot of miscommunication, as well as danger in every turn. These are the results of having discord between the two countries for many years. Thus, peace is highly needed and both countries need to ensure that their people wouldn't be in danger anymore. It's exciting to see what else could happen before the series officially concludes.
