Amid the reports that Harry Kane will switch to Manchester United in the summer with the price tag for the transfer set at £200 million by Tottenham, the Spurs now appear reluctant to go ahead with the deal. The North London club will not sanction a move for the England captain.

Kane has been long rumored to exit from his current team and his recent statement of wanting to win titles even if he has to play for a new side fired up the speculations he could be out of the Hotspur Stadium in June.

However, Sky Sports said the Spurs are unlikely to make a deal on the long-time Tottenham player. Kane will not be sold to the side of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the report said, adding that the same applies for other Premier League clubs looking to grab the prolific striker.

"Sky Sports News has been told the England captain will not be leaving for Old Trafford or any other Premier League rival," said the report.

If true, the report runs in contrast to the recent news stories that indicated Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will be ready to negotiate with United on the exit of Kane provided the club can come up with a mind-boggling asking price.

Apparently, the Spurs will be forced by financial constraints due to the coronavirus outbreak that halted the domestic games across Europe. The revenues have stopped flowing in and the club's money matters are anticipated to see more pressures in light of the construction of the Tottenham Stadium that cost around £1 billion.

Metro said jumping to United will be promising for the goalscorer not only for his quest of finally scoring a title but also for his financial security, indicating that even without the approval of Tottenham Kane will still press for the deal with Solskjaer.

The star presently collects a weekly wage of £200,000 from the Spurs. If the transfer deal will be realized, the report said Kane will get a huge salary boost, possibly to the tune of £350,000 per week.

The figures will make the striker at par with United's highest paying earners and one has been named in the report as David De Gea.

Kane joining up with the Red Devils is in line with the rebuilding that Solskjaer has been undertaking. If successful, the transfer will further bolster United's strike force that currently boasts of Bruno Fernandes and Scott McTominay as regulars.

The Norwegian boss is also looking to complete the summer acquisition of Jadon Sancho along with that of Kane. The 20-year-old winger plays with Borussia Dortmund at the moment but is widely rumored of a return to England via the Old Trafford.
