Piers Morgan is known for his blunt opinions on celebrities and public figures. And one of the people that he likes to criticize a lot is Meghan Markle. Now, he seems to be adding Prince Harry to his list.
Although many describe Piers Morgan as nasty and rude, he usually gives credit where credit is due. So when he felt that the Royal family was doing well in handling the coronavirus pandemic issue, he quickly praised them. However, he only specified those who “stayed in the country,” which means Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are not included.
“I’ve got to hand it to the Royal Family, the ones who stayed in the country,” Piers Morgan said on Good Morning Britain. “I’ve got to hand it to them and say they’ve done a great job of what they should be doing, which is just being comforters and consolers for the nation, stable and calm.”
This is certainly not the first time that Piers Morgan praised the Royal family members while criticizing Meghan Markle. The controversial host previously appeared on The Talk and talked about his least favorite person on earth — the Duchess of Sussex. As expected, he criticized Prince Harry and his wife and praised Prince William and Kate Middleton for stepping up after the Megxit.
“What's interesting about this is Kate Middleton doesn't normally do podcasts or interviews,” Piers Morgan said. “So what you're seeing is Meghan and Harry quit Britain, quit the Royals, they don't want to do it anymore, they want to go and speak to banks and be celebrities. That's fine. But they've got to leave the work, the duty, now for the other royals. So in stepped William and Kate. And I think they've really stepped up.“
Meanwhile, a study revealed that Meghan Markle has more critics online than Donald Trump, who is one of the most disliked US Presidents in history, and Piers Morgan, who receives a lot of backlashes because of his controversial opinions and rude comments.
The study analyzed 500,000 recent negative tweets about celebrities and public figures. Piers Morgan got the fourth spot, while Donald Trump was sixth. With 53 percent negative tweets, Meghan Markle sits third on the list.
The Duchess of Sussex’s supporters claims that the hate that she’s receiving is all about racism. However, many suggested that racism isn’t at play here and the truth is that Meghan Markle is simply very unlikeable.
