Adele's high-profile divorce won't only leave her with a broken heart but a depleted bank account, too. A judge, reportedly, granted to seal documents in her divorce from ex-husband Simon Konecki by giving him half of her $180 million fortune.

The 31-year-old singer-songwriter parted ways with the 45-year-old charity CEO in April last year. She submitted a "Discovery Confidentiality Stipulation and Order," which means that details about their separation will remain private after they decided not to have a pre-nuptial agreement.

A source explained to New Idea that divorces in Hollywood could often last for years and become "extremely ugly and public," but Adele and Simon Konecki don't want that to happen. They are both committed to keeping the details of their divorce as private as possible for the sake of their seven-year-old son, Angelo Adkins. The two are trying to work out on their issues on private so that they will never need court intervention, which will save them from wasting time and money and also less stressful.

Before the couple publicized their separation, their relationship was often thrown with rumors that they were already living separately. On September 12, the "Hello" hitmaker officially filed a divorce and asked the court for joint custody of their child. She would be co-parenting with Simon Konecki while they were planning to split their fortune.

Adele, reportedly, sold her West Sussex mansion that she once shared with her former husband. After buying the lavish house for £4 million in East Grinstead in 2017, according to Metro News, a mysterious financier purchase the sprawling home for only £3 million, which meant that the "Someone like You" singer loss £1 million for it.

It was a huge loss as the 18th century house boasted eight-bedroom and a tennis court of its own that sits on a whopping 48-acre of land, which is a secluded property that she loves. Anyhow, sources said that Adele still has several properties of her own in the United Kingdom, including a flat in West London and a house in the area. Today, she spends most of her time in Los Angeles and lives close to Simon Konecki so that they can easily co-parent Angelo.

There are also reports that she gave her estranged husband a $13.8 million mansion in Beverly Hills so they could be close together for their kid. Adele confirmed her split from Simon Konecki after being together for eight years and three years of marriage. But, they both confirmed they remain amicable.
