Princess Diana had a hard time following the royal protocols, thus she had fears that her kids, Prince William and Prince Harry, would also suffer the same. The Duke of Cambridge and Duke of Sussex, clearly, have different personalities. Even before Meghan Markle's husband admitted that there was a rift between him and his sibling, the People's Princess already predicted that her children might break their brotherly bond due to their positions in the monarchy.
The late Princess of Wales' dream analyst Joan Hanger told New Idea her client's concerns about the royal protocol could "drive a wedge" between her two sons. "She did have worries about the boys, whether they'd be able to work with the protocol of the palace," she said.
As a former member of the royal family, Princess Diana knew that it wasn't easy to adhere to the royal protocol. Hence, she consistently gave Prince William and Prince Harry some advice as much as she could.
Hanger added that Prince Charles' former wife was particularly worried for her eldest son. As he is set to be the future king, she was scared of how Kate Middleton's husband would follow the rules and conform to the royal protocol.
Three weeks before her death, Hanger revealed that she was still talking to Princess Diana, who would often call her on weekends when she felt loneliest the most. Diana was worried about Prince William becoming the new king, and it made her sadder that she couldn't talk about it with Prince Charles, as she didn't have "much say" in the boys' upbringing after their divorce.
She was also concerned of their relationship, and she was never wrong. News emerged that Prince Harry got mad when his older brother questioned his decision to marry Meghan Markle quickly. In an interview for an ITV documentary last year, he even admitted that he and Prince William "were on different paths."
Royal photographer Jayne Fincher told Page Six that if Princess Diana was only alive, she would, surely, be heartbroken over her two kids' relationship. She would, undoubtedly, do everything in her power to be the two's peacemaker and mend their bond.
"She'd be shaking the boy's heads together saying, 'For goodness sake. What's going on here?'" Fincher said, predicting what Princess Diana would do. Aside from Prince William and Prince Harry, there were also rumors that their wives, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, were feuding. So, Diana might also try to make peace between the girls.
