Despite the clarification issued by Rudy Gobert that all is well between him and Utah teammate Donovan Mitchell, the impression remains that the two will struggle to get along in the future. So one has to go and if that would be the French-born big man, there are plenty of choices waiting for him.

But first, it should be interesting to know how serious the sentiment that seemed to make it hard for the two All-Stars to reconcile. It can be assumed that because Gobert is considered patient zero in the NBA that he's being blamed as the source of Mitchell's infection.

That would be hard to establish but there were reports that before COVID-19 became rampant in the United States, the Jazz big man entertained family members visiting from France, where the virus killed and infected many. But the spread of the virus appeared not to bother Gobert and he continued interacting with people without care.

According to The Ringer, some Jazz players complained that when it comes to COVID-19, the center "had a cavalier attitude in the locker room." Gobert's behavior was seen as high-risk and it must have been the reason for Mitchell's ill-feelings.

Fear led him to blame his teammate for putting him in danger. Mitchell thought Gobert acted irresponsibly during the start of the coronavirus outbreak and two of them nearly perished. The shooting guard is said to be unprepared to repair the damaged relationship.

Should that be the case and if Gobert will be the one to exit from the Jazz, he certainly will be looking at a host of options in the summer. He is after all the NBA's best defender in two seasons and he can produce points consistently so teams will certainly be interested.

One possible destination for Gobert is the Golden State, which will be sorting out its lineup following a dismal showing in the regular season. Fadeaway World said Utah might be convinced to send the All-Star to the Warriors if the exchange will include a 2020 first-round pick.

The package must also include Draymond Green and the Dubs getting Gobert in return is not a bad deal at all. That's because the latter is considered the better scorer aside from being a robust defensive wall.

Or the defense specialist can ask to be traded to Dallas and get the chance to join up with fellow Europeans Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis. The result will be a powerhouse frontcourt for the Mavericks with Gobert and Porzingis serving as twin towers to give opponents sleepless nights.

Another blockbuster possibility is Gobert teaming up with the dynamic duo of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. If the Clippers will make this happen, they'd be realizing their goal of dominating the league in the coming years.
