9-1-1 season 3 episode 15 is arriving next week on Fox, with the title "Eddie Begins." The title alone suggests that Eddie will be the highlight episode, and his story proved to be an emotional one. He is trying to rescue a boy from a well, but it triggered some painful memories from his past. Eddie's journey saving the boy turned into a mission saving himself from his past.
The preview of 9-1-1 season 3 episode 15 starts with Athena discussing a case that involved a missing boy. The team assures the concerned mother that they will do their best to find her son. They promise to find the boy, but the rescue mission wouldn't be an easy one for them. The boy is trapped in a small well and may not last long in a confined space.
The team race against time to save the boy and get him out safely from the well. One of them needs to go through different holes, while his mother talks to him to calm him down. However, this mission turns into a journey for Eddie as he needs to confront his past trauma. While trying to rescue the boy, he also needs to save himself in the process.
Preview stills of 9-1-1 season 3 episode 15 also features some flashback scenes, showing Eddie's time when he was still a soldier. It was revealed that before becoming a firefighter, he was deployed for different missions in Afghanistan. Hence, the rescue mission triggered some painful memories, such as out a soldier from a burning helicopter.
But what's unique about the "Begins" episodes is that the series allows some of the characters to show a different side of them. They have a tough job, but they also have past traumas and struggles. For Eddie, it's interesting to see how he deals with the situation. He knows that he needs to rescue the boy, but he also recognized that he needs to confront his past.
Meanwhile, the episode will also feature some guest stars including Cary Christopher as Aidan Benson, Ana Mercedes as Isabel Diaz, Grant McKinney as Young Christopher, Paula Marshall as Helena Diaz, George DelHoyo as Ramon Diaz, Devin Kelley as Shannon Diaz, as well as Cocoa Brown as Carla.
