More and more people are getting inflicted with the new coronavirus or COVID-19 around the globe. According to Worldometerin the US alone, today's new cases have been 360 and deaths of 17.

Given this reason, most countries nowadays are under lockdown and local governments are encouraging their people to stay inside their homes to limit their exposure to people who are possibly inflicted and also to contain the virus in the shortest period possible. Not going out of the house may be an effective way to be safe and be protected, but some are left with no choice but to do the opposite.

If you are one of those who have to go out of their houses to work and earn money, to buy goods for the family, or those who have to visit the hospital for a check-up, there are several things experts want you to remember for you to be safe against the coronavirus. Here are some of those.

DO NOT TOUCH THINGS ACCESSED BY THE PUBLIC

Things such as doorknobs, chairs, and pens are often available for public use. Unfortunately, you will never know if the person who used or touched the object before you is positive with the virus or not.

Given this reason, it is a must to remember not to touch things like these as much as possible. In touching or pressing things, try to use your elbow instead. But if you have to use your hands, better to make sure to sanitize or wash it after to make sure no coronavirus will get to you.

ALWAYS CONSIDER SOCIAL DISTANCING

According to the experts, the coronavirus can be transmitted from one person to another through small droplets of body fluids excreted from the nose and mouth whenever an infected person exhales or coughs. Once another person becomes physically close to the patient and got exposed to his fluids, the higher their risk of getting inflicted too.

Since distance plays a huge and important part in transferring the virus, researchers say that social distancing is a must if we want to contain it. As reported by the Medical News Todaypeople should always keep at least a 6-foot distance towards other people. We will never know who are infected and those who are not, so better keep your distance even to your closest friends.

DO NOT SHARE MEALS

Since the coronavirus can spread through saliva, sharing meals, even to your family is not advisable. Though it may be fun to share foods with your loved ones, to have your own plate whenever you eat your meal is still the safest thing to do.
