The Cambridges released a new statement about their plan to help the frontliners that respond to Covid-19 in the United Kingdom on their organization's official website. "The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will do all it can to support those on the frontline of responding to COVID-19 in the UK," they said.
The post details how Prince William and Kate Middleton plan to connect their patronages with charities that can help support frontline responders. They also aim to promote and support mental health charities in this time of crisis and to thank and celebrate the efforts of those people who work on the frontline.
Despite the outbreak, lockdown, and the government's order to stay at home, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are doing everything they can to help people in this time of crisis from their Anmer Hall home in Norfolk, the Daily Mail noted. The two even promise that the Royal Foundation will focus on responding with the coronavirus outbreak in the coming weeks.
When Queen Elizabeth II addressed the nation with her very first personal statement to address the pandemic in mid-March, she assured the public that the royal family and she would stand ready to play their part in this challenging time. As of this writing, the U.K. now has over 98,000 confirmed cases and almost 13,000 deaths.
