Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are now starting their new lives as non-working royals in Los Angeles, California. With this move, people can expect to see a lot of changes from the Sussexes, most especially on the Duchess of Sussex's fashion. As the Meghan Effect is now gone, will fans get to see her wear trendy fashion pieces once again?
In an episode of Mirror's royal podcast, Pod Save the Queen, Meghan's Mirror blog editor Christine Ross revealed the dramatic change everyone would see in the former actress' wardrobe. When the 38-year-old joined the royal family upon marriage with Prince Harry, "she took on a new job" as a senior member of the royal family.
With the change, Meghan Markle's wardrobe also transformed to suit her new role. However, as she, along with her husband, left their royal lives, she's going to take on a new profession that will be completely different from being a senior royal. Fans may once again see her return to her "pre-marriage style."
"We'll probably see a lot more ripped jeans again because that's something she loves to rock - a pair of ripped skinny jeans," Ross predicted. Wearing jeans is said to be inappropriate for a royal, although some of them are still wearing this outfit from time to time, especially when the former Suits star is on off-duty.
Now that she's no longer a senior royal, it's highly likely that fans will see a casual Meghan Markle once again. She can now opt for a more affordable style, like jeans and boots, instead of the usual fascinators and high heels. Her fashion will surely reflect her new lifestyle and role that she will soon play.
Anyhow, her style transformation since she joined the royal family had been incredibly remarkable. She used her stand to promote local designers, make sartorial impressions, and support accessibility and sustainability in fashion, Bustle noted.
From the trendy outfits, she usually donned as an actress, her style dramatically evolved to more refined and conservative look. Anyhow, she was not afraid to break the royal protocol and wear her own fashion choices. She was seen wearing shoulder silhouettes, wedge sandals, dark-colored nail polish, and cross-body bags.
Meghan Markle managed to adapt a wardrobe that would adhere to the royal rules but without removing her own style. It even seemed like she took some style cues from her role as Rachel in the television series Suits. The miniskirts, bandage dresses, and platform heels might be gone then, but it might now return, replacing her closet full of midi skirts, tailored dresses, timeless coats, and ornate headpieces.
