Chelsea star N'Golo Kante is the transfer target of elite clubs in Europe, but the Frenchman seemed more inclined to continue playing football in London. Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, and Paris Saint-Germain are said to be working to recruit the World Cup winner staying with the Blues is a top priority for Kante.

While the midfielder once intimated he dreamed of playing for Barca or Real one day, he remains committed to his contract with the side of Frank Lampard. Kante's deal with Chelsea will not end until 2023, and he has no intention of leaving anytime soon.

According to Goal, unless Lampard will force him out of the squad, the French ace is not thinking of changing his setting. And it's understood as well that there are things in France that Kante does not intend to revisit.

That means agreeing on a deal with Juventus is out of the question. In the same way, the Chelsea star is not interested in a switch to Bernabeu, where Real boss Zinedine Zidane envisions him as a solid backup to Casemiro. That kind of role is not appealing to the 29-year-old.

There are reports Barcelona would like to a piece of the world champion as part of the possible loan deal offered to Chelsea. If the rumored move to Stamford Bridge of Philippe Coutinho will be realized, it is believed that a swap will be part of the agreement.

However, Kante's transfer to Camp Nou will have to be initiated by the Chelsea board, according to Metro. As things stand, there is no hint on Lampard's that he plans to offload the Frenchman, who is widely considered as among the best midfielders in the world.

What could prompt Lampard to release Kante is the latter's struggle with injuries. In the season alone, he was forced to skip 20 games and the report said: "The Blues have reservations about his long-term fitness."

The worry on Kante's form is understandable. He had to miss nearly half of the games that the Lampard side had to play in the season while retaining his position as the Blues' highest earner.

Per week, the French star collects a paycheck of £290,000, an amount that the Premier League could have better use if Kante continues to be plagued by health issues.

Reports said Chelsea has been keeping tabs on Boubakary Soumare of Lille in case the club's midfielder roster will have an opening. Or the Blues can simply tap into their existing talents that include Mateo Kovacic, Jorginho, Billy Gilmour, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Ross Barkley, and Mason Mount.
