WARNING: This article may have spoilers for Yellowstone season 2 finale. Read at your own risk.

Yellowstone season 3 is officially happening on Paramount Network, but is the arrival of the Kevin Costner-led series delayed? Because of the current health crisis happening around the world, most television shows halted their productions.

Many were excited about the arrival of Yellowstone season 3, but its premiere remains uncertain right now. The series usually airs in summer, but some things may change because of the current situation. Yet, TVLine reported that the entirety of the third installment to film before the series shut down.

Hence, there is a possibility the new installment will proceed with its original release date, which is set in summer 2020. But then, there are still other things to consider before airing Yellowstone season 3, including the post-production team working remotely.

The first and second seasons of the series both premiered in mid-June. So, if there are no interruptions, it's very likely that Yellowstone season 3 will also air on that same month this 2020. Some reports also suggest that the upcoming installment will consist of 10 episodes.

Kevin Costner will surely reprise his role John Dutton in the new season. Other returning cast members include Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton, Kelly Reilly as Beth Dutton, Wes Bentley as Jamie Dutton, Kelsey Asbille as Monica Long Dutton, Brecken Merrill as Tate Dutton, and Cole Hauser as Rip Wheeler.

The season 2 finale ends with Tate's kidnapping, so Yellowstone season 3 may see the Dutton family trying to figure out what happened and help Tate recover from such a traumatic experience. John and his family fought for their survival, unlikely partnerships, new enemies, and disloyalty.

Beyond that story, fans are also hoping that the series would provide answers about whey John and Beth hate Jamie so much. It seems like more drama, problems, and new enemies are coming for the family once the new season arrives.

Yellowstone is one of the most popular series on Paramount Channel. The series delivers immersive stories with memorable characters who are willing to take big risks. The show has a huge audience and the first two seasons proved to be successful.

Meanwhile, the first two seasons can be watched on Paramount Network's website with a free 24-hour trial. The series can also be streamed Amazon to avoid commercials. Unfortunately, the show is currently not available on either Hulu or Netflix.
