Yellowstone season 2 episode 2 is arriving this week, and the series isn't going to back down when it comes to new fighting. Viewers will be seeing something new in this week's episode, titled "New Beginnings," and it will pick up where the previous episode left off.
Based on the synopsis of Yellowstone season 2 episode 2, Rip and Kayce come to blows. Beth, on the other hand, has started buying land just to protect the ranch, while Monica will start a new chapter at the university. The episode title probably focused on Monica's new beginnings as she'll do everything that she can to secure her new position.
One of Monica's goals is to distance herself from the Dutton family; she even used a different last name and told the story of most of the Native Americans. However, one major challenge for her is that it would be hard for her to get away from the family drama. After all, Kayce vested interest in her life.
Another thing is that Montana is generally a smaller community, and it isn't a crowded area where she can easily disappear. Perhaps, the best thing Monica can do now is to try and settle into her new job, which seems she's happy to do.
Meanwhile, there's also another question whether or not John Dutton will recover from his ulcer. But, that seems likely as the network wouldn't kill Kevin Costner's character just like that. Also, Yellowstone has been renewed for a third season, so it's hard to imagine the character won't be a part of it.
When he recovers, there are probably a lot more problems coming on his way. For instance, he needs to fight with Dan - someone who's trying to overtake the ranch and turn it into residential properties. Of course, John will do everything to stop this person who only wants to cause problems and thinks he knows what's best for the community rather than the people who are living there.
In another report, the first episode of Yellowstone season 2 reportedly draws 3.9 million viewers, including a simulcast on CMT and repeats. Moreover, the show is on series highs right now, particularly when it comes to both 18-49 and 25-54 demographic, which are both huge demographics for the network.
Yellowstone season 2 episode 2 will air on Wednesday, June 26, on the Paramount Network.
