There are a lot of big storylines coming within this episode, and the most intriguing one here is that someone is seemingly shot. It appears as though one of the characters will be in danger before the season officially concludes.
The promo of When Calls the Heart season 7 finale teased that someone was shot, yet it remains to be seen who could it be. One of the characters might be in serious danger entering this episode, and such an event could hugely impact the lives of others.
But, there's no guarantee whether or not the shooting is deadly -- or if someone was indeed shot. Perhaps, the person who was probably shot may recover before the episode concludes. But since this is the season finale, the series could leave some huge cliffhanger moving forward.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth also needs to make a big choice in her love life. Throughout the season, the love triangle is one of the central stories, as she has been torn between Lucas and Nathan. But, the promo hinted that Nathan will finally make a big move and will try to ask Elizabeth to go out for a date.
The love triangle plot proved to be a complicated one this season. Most have also been wondering whom Elizabeth could end up with. This episode may probably provide an answer to that question. And while Nathan is making his move, Lucas may be doing the same as well.
Aside from Elizabeth's love life, When Calls the Heart season 7 finale will also see the character reaching a milestone in her career as an author. This calls for a big celebration and it seems like her life is about to change in the future. This is a significant career milestone for Elizabeth and she may be moving into a different direction with her life.
As for the season 8 renewal, there is still no official announcement regarding that matter. But, the series may come back for more in the future, given that there are still a lot of stories needed to be explored. The renewal announcement may happen a few weeks or months after the finale.
