There are only a few details about the upcoming American Horror Story season 10, though the anthology series may probably be released later this year on FX. Some of the cast in the new installment has been released as well, but is there a chance a few more familiar faces will be added along the way?

Some have been wondering whether or not Dylan McDermott will be appearing in American Horror Story season 10. The actor has made sporadic appearances across the franchise, but right now, nothing is confirmed about his arrival in the new installment.

It also seems like McDermott would be happy to join the series if given an opportunity. In a previous Twitter post, the actor strongly suggests that he's open to returning, noting that he's just "standing by." Though nothing is certain, he may be added as one of the characters at some point.

As for his potential role, it would be nice to see McDermott playing more of a heroic role rather than being a creepy character. But even though his arrival is still uncertain, viewers will be seeing new and returning cast members once the latest installment arrives.

Macaulay Culkin is one of the newest faces in American Horror Story season 10, though it remains to be seen what would be his role here. As for who's coming back, AHS veterans Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson are set to return in the 10th installment. The two are both missing in season 9 for the first time.

In addition, it was previously reported that Paulson will be playing a "central character" in the new season. Other cast includes Adina Porter, Billie Lourd, Lily Rabe, Leslie Grossman, Angelica Ross, Kathy Bates, as well as Finn Wittrock.

Meanwhile, the theme of American Horror Story season 10 was not yet revealed as well. But since executive producer and showrunner Ryan Murphy has been previously sharing some clips about the latest installment featuring an ocean, some speculating the series will have a mermaid theme this time.

Murphy has been posting clips and photos on his Instagram account. One of the pictures he shared featured two hands seemingly coming out from the water. This coincided with the cast member announcement clip, in which Murphy introduced the cast with a creepy music and ocean background.

Right now, American Horror Story season 10 has no official release date, but the series usually premieres in fall. This wouldn't also be the final season of the series, as FX renewed the show from additional three seasons. Hence, viewers will be seeing more of it until season 13.
