Harry Kane, a transfer target by Manchester United, has admitted his quest to win titles could result in his departure from Tottenham and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer might just be interested in working with the prolific striker. However, the United boss has made clear spending big on the Spurs star is not in his mind.

Bringing Kane to Old Trafford will cost as reports said Tottenham would only discuss business for no less than £200 million. Solskjaer is not having it as he stressed that the money is best used investing in assets to acquire and talents already with the Red Devils.

The Sun said Solskjaer is cautious of investing big on Kane since what the striker can do others at United can also offer. The Norwegian is particularly convinced that Marcus Rashford is nearly the equal of Kane and the striker for the Red Devils is only 22 years old.

The manager also puts so much faith in Anthony Martial, who at 24 has already scored 16 goals for United and in only 34 appearances.

Then there is Mason Greenwood, and according to Solskjaer, he is a talent ready to explode big. The coach is convinced Greenwood will not benefit if Kane will be part of the United roster next season. The former will likely be prevented from further growing.

These three players are enough reasons for United to pass up on Kane, who in the past two years has been struggling with injury issues.

While having the Tottenham is a temptation, breaking the bank for the 26-year-old is not a priority for Solskjaer, Metro reported.

Instead, the club boss is more inclined to pursue Borussia Dortmund ace Jadon Sancho, who at 22 has made quite an impression at Bundesliga this season. The winger has the attention of elite clubs in Europe but it is believed he is ready to the Solskjaer side this summer.

Reports this week indicated that details of the transfer deal had been ironed out through secret meetings conducted in the past months. The terms of the agreement are said ready to be finalized soon.

And Sancho approved of the deal with the promise from United that he will be an instant star at Old Trafford. His salary will be bumped up significantly that he could be the highest-paid player in the roster by next season.

What's left for threshing is the details on BVB's asking price for the England international, said to be in the neighborhood of £100 million or just half the amount that the Spurs plan to charge for Kane's release.
