After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sent the letter informing sections of the British Press that they will no longer "cooperate" with them, allegations emerged claiming that Prince Charles knew nothing about the matter. It was said that the Sussex couple did not tell the Prince of Wales, as well as Queen Elizabeth II, about their plans to "boycott."

Over the weekend, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were, reportedly, criticized by various publications after Prince Charles' youngest son made claims about the pandemic crisis. It was revealed that he said before the public that the crisis in the United Kingdom "is not as bad as" what the press has been reporting.

According to the Daily Mail, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle released a "lengthy statement" a few hours after that they have decided to no longer deal with The Mail on Sunday, the Express, the Mirror, and the Daily Mail, which are big and leading names in the British Press. They also reportedly mentioned that their "ceasing" to cooperate will include all the online outlets of these publications.

The reasons given by the Sussex couple mainly included their dislike of the "distorted" and "false or invasive" narratives about them that these papers have been writing about them. They also, reportedly, said in the issued statement that they will no longer "offer" themselves as a "currency for an economy of clickbait."

While the public was shocked after learning about their statement, The Times released a report revealing that even the royals and the staff from the Buckingham Palace are all "stunned." It was also alleged that Prince Charles was not told by his youngest son about their plans.

The report continued to share that Prince Harry did, however, call Queen Elizabeth II during the weekend. But, it was said that he did not discuss specifically what they are about to do the following day.

Several publications also released a report about the matter. As reported, an insider from the Buckingham Palace stated that they have been all left astonished as the couple has not taken any of their advice.

Sources also attested that the individuals "close" to the Queen were "angered" by what Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did. Aside from leaving the senior royals in the dark, they also released their statement just before the British Monarch's birthday.

It was also added that it seemed inappropriate and irrelevant considering that the United Kingdom, as well as the rest of the world, has been suffering from the loss and grief brought by the pandemic. While the press and some royal experts continue to share their insight on the matter, Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth II have yet to comment.
