In the Last Man Standing season 8 finale, Kristin's big day finally arrives. This episode may revolve around her giving birth. This is a significant moment not only for her but for the whole Baxter family as well since the arrival of the baby is a big celebration.
Last Man Standing season 8 finale also features the return of Kaitlyn Dever's Eve -- she comes back home for a weekend visit. In a previous interview with TVLine, Fuller has already hinted that a baby is coming and the baby will factor in the original finale that they didn't shoot. Perhaps, Kristin goes into labor in episode 21, and her journey to motherhood starts in episode 22.
But since the episode wasn't yet filmed, some things could change. Her journey to motherhood may not be featured at all, as the series may opt for a time jump. Also, this episode may probably be part of season 9, as long as Fox renewed the series.
According to CarterMatt, the series may be renewed rather than canceled, given that ratings performed well as of late. In addition, Last Man Standing is one of the most popular shows on the network, so the renewal is likely.
