Melania Trump recently joined her husband, Donald Trump at the White House lawn to plant the ceremonial tree to mark the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. The First Couple was also joined by Vice President, Mike Pence, and his wife, Karen.

While several fans and watchers have praised the First Lady for her wardrobe choices for the ceremony, she also received criticisms after. As it happened, many pointed out that she looked "awkward" and uncomfortable due to her pair of high heels.

According to Footwear News, Melania Trump seemingly continued her "streak" of stylish heels with her chosen pair on the day of the ceremony. Based on the photos, she wore a pair of "zigzag-patterned, black and white" pumps.

The publication also noted that the pair boasts a "thin stiletto heel" that also comes with "textured patent uppers." It was also shared that Melania always "can't get enough" of Manolo Blahnik's BB pumps, of which style seemingly resembles that pair that she wore during the ceremony.

Melania Trump's coat dress was "on-point," too. It seemingly complemented well with her pair of pumps, which caused her appearance to look very stylish and chic.

However, several watchers and experts stated that her choice of apparel and clothing seemed "inappropriate." Aside from the fact that she walked with her husband on the lawn of the White House, they also used shovels to plant the ceremonial tree.

As per Metro UKMelania Trump looked "awkward" during the ceremony, especially when she was using the "resplendent golden shovel." They reportedly tossed "dirt from a loose pile" going to the tree. It seemed "awkward than effective," the report described.

The publication continued to share that the Vice President's wife, Karen Pence, appeared to have helped Melania to "steady" as she holds the shovel. It was speculated that the First Lady was having a hard time due to the footwear that she was wearing.

But, all in all, it has appeared that the ceremony was successful. Despite the public's perception that it was a "strange" holiday outing, especially for Donald Trump, several fans and supporters still went on to praise the First Couple for their efforts.

Meanwhile, it was said that the talks of the COVID-19 crisis also continued amid the ceremony. The same report revealed that Donald Trump shared his opening remarks by "blaming China again" for the novel coronavirus.

He said that the country continues to "mourn" for all the "precious souls" that have been "lost," which he then deemed as an "unnecessary lost." Trump then stated that everyone knows where it started, which has appeared to be a subtle shaded for China.
