Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are, reportedly, releasing a tell-all book about the high and lows of their royal life. Titled "Thoroughly Modern Royals: The Real World Of Harry And Meghan," the book is, reportedly, written by two royal scribes and friends of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand.

The book is a 320-page biography up for release on Aug. 11. Reports stated that it will be a retelling of the side of what has been known as Megxit or Prince Harry and Meghan's exit from the royal family.

The idea for the book was apparently hatched by friends of the former Hollywood actress who hoped it would set the record straight about Megxit. Prince Harry and Meghan apparently gave their interviews to Scobie and Durand before they left Vancouver to settle in Los Angeles. The book was originally set for a June release but there were some delays allegedly due to coronavirus.

Those in Queen Elizabeth's inner circle, however, fear that this tell-all book could "upset" and "hurt" the monarch. Sources told The Sun that the royals are worried over what Prince Harry and Meghan might divulge to the reporters. According to Daily Mirror, the book might also "savage" the monarchy.

Royal experts said that the book release is similar to what Princess Diana did in the early '90s. She sanctioned the biography, "Diana: Her True Story," written by Andrew Morton, which was also corroborated by her friends. It detailed the pain and hardships she went through as a royal, which was also a slight to the royal family. Scobie and Durand, however, have not yet confirmed if they are releasing a book or if they actually wrote one for Prince Harry and Meghan.

The news comes as Prince Harry and Meghan sat down Friday to witness the pre-trial of their lawsuit against a British tabloid. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are suing Associated Newspapers for breach of privacy for publishing an, allegedly, distorted version of a letter Meghan wrote to her father, Thomas Markle, before she married Prince Harry in 2018.

Prince Harry and Meghan's legal fight with the tabloids is one of the reasons why the Sussexes decided to quit their royal life. In an interview for an ITV documentary, Meghan admitted that she has suffered mentally because of the royal spotlight. She said that while she expected there is public interest about the royals, she also naively thought that the tabloid press would be fair in their reports.
