As with the rest of the world, the royal family is also affected by the coronavirus lockdown. But Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, is making sure to still keep in touch with the charities she patronizes and she does it with such a sweet gesture - writing letters.

One of the charities that Kate supports recently posted the letter that the Duchess of Cambridge wrote for them during the lockdown. According to Action in Addiction, Kate sent the letter to uplift the staff who are working in the frontlines and caring for vulnerable families.

"I'm writing to tell you how much I am thinking of you at this hugely difficult time," the Duchess of Cambridge wrote. "I know you are doing all you can to ensure you are still there for those suffering from addiction and their families -- despite the challenges you are now under."

But reports also cited a few other charities that Kate patronizes which also received a letter from the Duchess of Cambridge. These are Action for Children and the Evelina Children's Hospital so there shouldn't be surprises when more letters surface.

According to Hello, Kate commended the children's hospital for remaining in businesses "despite the challenging circumstances." She acknowledged the healthcare workers' commitment to their patients even as the hospital staff are also pressured to help COVID-19 patients.

For her letter to the Action for Children, the tone is more or less the same. She told the staff that she is pleased to know that they are continuing their services despite the many risks of this coronavirus crisis.

Aside from writing letters, the Duchess of Cambridge also do video calls with her charities, just like her husband, Prince William. Together, they have launched the Our Frontlines initiatives to provide nurses, doctors and care workers, who are still functioning for the essential services, a platform where they can manage the mental stress of being at the front and center of this pandemic.

Even while she's busy with work, Kate still manages to balance her time with her children. She recently organized Prince Louis' small but meaningful second birthday party and she is also going to have a small party for Princess Charlotte's fifth birthday on May 2.

The Duchess of Cambridge apparently bakes the birthday cake of her children, as part of a family tradition. She also makes sure that her children are keeping in touch with their grandparents who are isolating from the virus at different parts of the country.
