Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are currently living in Los Angeles with their son Archie. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced earlier this year that they wish to step back from their senior roles to focus more on their family and charities.

Despite their shocking announcement, Buckingham Palace confirmed that Queen Elizabeth supported Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision. And on March 31, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex officially turned their backs on their roles.

Now, a new report revealed that Prince Harry opened up about the changes in his life after his Royal exit with Meghan Markle. The Duke of Sussex reportedly confessed that he couldn’t believe that his life "turned upside down.”

“He has been telling friends that he still can't believe this has happened,” the source said. ”He can't believe his life has been turned upside down… Harry has told friends he is really missing the Army as well his military appointments. He misses the camaraderie of being in the forces. He was in a happy place when he was serving in the Army, then he met Meghan and since then life has been great. But I don’t think he foresaw things turning out quite as they did.”

Although Queen Elizabeth showed support to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision, she still has the last say before they go. Her Majesty allowed them to step back, but she gave them a couple of deals and the Duke of Sussex appeared to be really upset with one of them.

Even though the couple will still be known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, they can “no longer formally represent” Queen Elizabeth in their new lives. Also, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not only lose their HRH titles, but Prince William’s brother will lose his military titles as well, which deeply upset him.

“I think the loss of his military links, especially that of Captain-General of the Royal Marines, will have deeply upset Harry, who continued the royal family’s tradition of military service by his two tours of duty in Afghanistan,” royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said. “Since he can no longer wear uniform, this is something he will feel deeply.”

He added that even though it appears that Prince Harry is ready to move on from his senior royal obligations to being a non-working royal, he may miss his old life in the future. The Duke of Sussex is royal by birth, and being a prince had always been a part of him.
