Prince Harry and Meghan Markle officially stepped down as senior royals at the end of March after announcing their withdrawal earlier this year. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex then briefly stayed in Canada before heading to Los Angeles, where they are currently residing with their son Archie.

After quitting Royal life, the public has not seen much of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Then the Duchess of Sussex has finally been seen for the first time in weeks in a video call.

Meghan Markle was speaking to one of the clients at Smart Works, which she is a patron of. In the video, the wife of Prince Harry praised the client for being “such a beacon of hope” and “focusing on getting through this.”

In the Smart Works page, Meghan Markle said: "It’s been such an honor to meet and learn from so many talented women in the Smart Works network over the years, and recently to see the amazing work they’re doing to adapt their programs to the reality of this pandemic. Their ability to continue to empower women and help them harness the confidence they need to succeed during this time is inspiring."

Meanwhile, Prince Harry previously discussed the importance of mental wellbeing during the lockdown during a video call to parents and carers of severely ill children. The Duke of Sussex commended them for their efforts during the global health crisis and appeared to admit that he’s feeling guilty that he’s “having so much family time.”

"I can't even begin to imagine how hard it is for you guys. Me, having one kid at 11 months old is tough enough,” he said. "There are a hell of a lot of positives that are happening at the same time, like being able to have family time. So much family time that you almost think, do I feel guilty about having so much family time? Well, you have got to celebrate those moments where you are on the floor in hysterics because of something that has happened. Then inevitably, half an hour later, maybe a day later there is going to be something that you have to deal with."

Prince Harry then noted that the most important thing is that the parents and carers have each other while they deal with the crisis.
