Leroy Sane of Manchester City is widely believed to be on the way out of Manchester City and his recent revelation may have sealed his transfer. The 24-year-old allegedly spoke with Bayern Munich manager Hans-Dieter Flick and it appears both had a productive conversation.

Sane revealed that he chatted with Flick for about 30 minutes via phone to discuss the possible move to the Bundesliga giants. Despite suffering a serious knee injury, it appears that Flick was more concerned about other things than that. It was reportedly the degree of commitment that the winger had if he were to move to Bayern. And from the looks of it, the Der FCB boss was pretty much convinced, Bild reported.

Man City had plans of keeping Sane in the mix, offering him a contract to stay on. Unfortunately, it appears the German footballer is no longer interested in one although his current contract will not end until 2021. For Bayern to get Sane, a £90 million will need to be settled.

Given that most teams are now facing a big financial crunch, Bayern could end up adding an asset to offset the transfer fee. The name of David Alaba has surfaced although it remains to be seen if City is interested. Alaba's contract is similar to that of Sane, good until 2021.

If Man City is not interested in Alaba, Bayern will need to go the long route. Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Chelsea are interested in the 27-year-old footballer so it may be best to start discussions as early as now. Once that is settled, Bayern can now divert its focus to Sane and settle the required transfer fee.

Sane is aching to get the chance what he truly gives to a club. He has had a disastrous season with City aside from suffering a delicate knee ligament injury. Initially, it was perceived by critics that this could bring down the German's value or lead teas to look elsewhere. Surprisingly, that has not been the case with teams still interested in bringing him to their folds.

Sealing the deal for Sane may take time. Most teams are wary of spending heftily by the next transfer window as most are feeling the pinch of holding no games for over a month now. With no revenue flowing, spending big on big-name players will have to wait. Players who have expiring deals may want to stick around with their current teams, for now, knowing a move will not likely be lucrative. There will be exceptions but most know the players likely to be pursued.
