Now that Lee Gon is certain that his traitor uncle is alive, the King will hunt Lee Lim to the other world. To do this, he will enlist Captain Jo's help in the upcoming The King: Eternal Monarch Episode 7.

In the teaser for Episode 7, the two are seen together in detective Jung Tae Eul's (Kim Go Eun) world. It looks like King Lee Gon (Lee Min Ho) brings the head of his Royal Guard, Captain Jo (Woo Do Hwan), to the other world to look for his presumed dead uncle, Lee Lim (Lee Jung Jin). However, Captain Jo expressed his disapproval of the King's decision, saying he can't protect the king in the other universe.

Lee Go was also seen giving an order to Captain Jo about killing someone, most likely his uncle. The King could have found out that Lee Lim has been traveling in and out of his kingdom for the past 25 years and his uncle has also known that his nephew already knows that he is still alive.

Lee Gon also introduces Captain Jo to his doppelganger, Jo Eun Seob. The two could be reaching out to Eun Seob since his children had a brief encounter with Lee Lim in the previous episode

It looks like Myeong Na Ri (Kim Yong Ji) will also find out about the parallel universe as she was seen talking about doppelgangers in the teaser. Na Ri looks concerned while saying one of the doppelgangers was found dead as Tae Eul and Shin Jae (Kim Kyung Nam) are seen checking out a crime scene.

Meanwhile, in the alternate world, the police inform the palace that they have found Luna and she looks like the King's guest. Moreover, there could be someone threatening Prime Minister Goo Seo Ryung (Jung Eun Chae). In the teaser, she was seen startled while working late at her office as if someone is secretly watching her.

The upcoming The King: Eternal Monarch Episode 7 will focus on Tae Eul's universe as the King and his best friend, Captain Jo, hunt for Lee Lim while he makes his move on his next target. It would also be interesting to see how Captain Jo will adjust to life in the alternate universe and his interaction with Na Ri. In Lee Gon's world, Na Ri's doppelganger, Myeong Seung Ah, has a crush on the hunk royal guard.

Elsewhere, it looks like Lee Gon and Tae Eul will be out on their first official date. The king is seen in the teaser holding a stuffed animal that he could have won again from a shooting game at the amusement park. The King: Eternal Monarch Episode 7 will air on May 8 at 10 p.m. KST on JTBC. It will also be available on Netflix.
