YG Entertainment has finally confirmed the date for BLACKPINK's most awaited comeback and its happening in June. 

According to a report from Soompi, BLACKPINK recently completed recording for their new album and are preparing to film their music video this month. 

In a brief statement, YG Entertainment confirmed the news but said that the final date is yet to be finalized. "BLACKPINK is scheduled to make a June comeback. Once the exact date has been finalized, we will officially share the news with fans first. Thank you."

Fans have been abuzz about the news, especially since its been more than a year since BLACKPINK's last comeback for Kill This Love. The album was was released in April 2019. 

To drum up even more excitement, Jennie recently went on Instagram Live for the first time for the unboxing of her limited edition Jentle Monster sunglasses line under the Gentle Monster brand.

Jennie designed the items under the collection. However, what caught the surprise of the viewers the surprise appearance of G-Dragon when Jennie came up to him in the studio and asked him to try the sunglasses. 

It appeared that G-Dragon was working with BLACKPINK for their new album along with YG producer Teddy. In the video, G-Dragon teased Jennie by pretending not to want to try the glasses but he eventually caved and asked if they looked good on him.

Jennie took the opportunity to say that it was meant to look good on everyone. G-Dragon's appearance in the video solidified fans' speculation that he is composing and producing songs for BLACKPINK now that BI is no longer with YG Entertainment. This will be his first time to work on music with his hoobaes, Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose. 

The video only ran for six minutes but because of the unexpected events that happened, it quickly reached 277,000 views on IG Live even without fans getting notification that she as live. 

She almost broke the record held by Drake which raked up to 310,000 views on Tony Lanez's  popular Quarantine Radio last March 27. 

Fans were disappointed to miss Jennie's broadcast and that she held a live and they did not get notified. They also said that millions could have tuned in if she had extended her broadcast for a few more minutes. BLINKs vowed to support Jennie's next broadcast in full force to see if they will break the current record held by Tony Lanez and Drake, All Kpop reported.
