Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are still young but they are going to bear a lot of responsibilities by being born with royal titles once they are of age. When their father, Prince William, becomes the King of England, the Cambridge children will still inherit more titles.

As the third in line to the throne, Prince George is expected to be the monarch one day as well, after his father, grandfather and great-grandmother, the Queen. However, before he ascends to the throne, Prince George will be waiting in the wings and will likely earn a Dukedom if he gets married.

However, Prince George might not become the Duke of Cambridge, which is his father's current title. According to reports, this title will be merged to the crown one Prince William is king and then it will be passed on to someone else in the royal family in the future, which will not likely be Prince William's eldest son. It will be up to the current monarch during Prince George's adult life to assign the young royal the Dukedom that's fitted to him.

Princess Charlotte, on the hand, may likely inherit the title Princess Royal. This is traditionally given to the eldest daughter of the monarch.

However, the young princess will not be able to use the title until Princess Anne, the current Princess Royal, dies. Princess Anne is the Queen's only daughter and Prince William's aunt. She was named the Princess Royal in 1987, or more than 20 years after the last royal to hold the title, Princess Mary, died. Princess Mary was the only daughter of King George V and Queen Elizabeth's aunt. Her title was a gift to Princess Anne by her mother.

Meanwhile, Prince Louis could inherit the title of Duke of York when he is of age. Currently, the Duke of York is Prince Andrew, the monarch's second son. Queen Elizabeth's father was also the Duke of York during his time, since King George VI (then known as Prince Albert) was also the second son of King George V.

These titles, however, will be passed on to the Cambridge children by the time they are adults or married. For now, however, they are simply known as prince or princess and are still likely unaware of their big responsibilities when their time comes. Prince William and Kate, however, are slowly easing their children to their future lives as royal public servants.
