French superstar Kylian Mbappe will reportedly sign a new deal with freshly-crowned Ligue 1 champion Paris Saint-Germain but before affixing his signature, the striker is looking to secure a gentleman's agreement first. If PSG will accede to the arrangement, Mbappe would be free to switch sides in case a tempting offer comes by.

The PSG ace has an existing deal with his club that will not expire until 2022 but it appeared now he is more inclined to sign an extension instead of forcing his way out. Rumors persist that Mbappe is wanted by both Real Madrid and Liverpool and the striker demanding from his club the agreement indicates his openness to get out of Paris for the right opportunity.

Getting PSG to sign on the informal arrangement is the best alternative available to the 21-year-old since a release clause is not permitted in France, according to Mirror.

Also, the gentleman's agreement will make it easier for any interested club to pursue Mbappe, which exactly is the reason why the French star is working to secure the deal from the Parisians. For instance, Real Madrid can still make a bid on the World Cup winner and not go through a circuitous route.

Reports from Spain indicated the Los Blancos are keen to bring Mbappe to Madrid but making the move will only happen in 2021 due to the financial pressures created by the coronavirus pandemic.

On the part of Liverpool, the Premier League club is said to be preparing to grab the PSG star and part of the plan is to sell the team's prized striker Sadio Mane. The Reds are expecting to make £150 million from the sale and the proceeds will be used in the purchase of Mbappe's contract.

Meanwhile, former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas has added his voice on the argument that Mbappe will flourish further should Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane would be successful in signing his compatriot. Fabregas said the Frenchman playing at Santiago Bernabeu would be perfect.

"He is a very hungry boy who wants to be the best ... Because of his style of play, he would fit in very well at a team like Real Madrid," Goal reported the Spain international as saying.

The midfielder, who currently plays for Ligue 1 side, added Mbappe's skillset and gameplay will serve as his best assets to make it big in La Liga. And it will be in the same thing in regional competitions like the Champions League, in which Real Madrid is a multiple title-holder.

Mbappe continues to impress in the season as he registered 30 goals and 17 assists in all competitions for PSG, somehow proving that the attention given to him by elite clubs in Europe is justified. The young striker is also tipped to win the Ballon d'Or in the coming years.
