SEAL Team season 4 is officially happening on CBS as the network previously renewed the David Boreanaz-led series for another installment. There are a lot of things to expect here, considering what happened in the season 3 finale -- especially with Jason and Mandy.

The season 3 finale delivered an unexpected twist for Jason and Mandy, as the episode ended with Jason kissing Mandy. There have been speculations about these two before, and it seems like their potential story may continue in SEAL Team season 4.

Speaking to TVLine, Boreanaz has something to say about this specific matter. He teased that people will be very surprised by what may happen in the next episode, which will be shown in SEAL Team season 4. It can be recalled that the original finale wasn't finished due to the current global health crisis.

The supposed finale will now be part of the upcoming installment and may explore a potential story between Jason and Mandy. It's apparent that there have been already clear plans for these two and it looks like their relationship may change moving forward.

In season 3 finale, Jason decided to escort Mandy into town as she paid condolence to the widow of a local vendor who served as an informant. Boreanaz said that his character decided to accompany her because he had to take care of what he needed to take care of.

Jason and Mandy have somewhat hinted they've been involved in the past. But then, it remains to be seen what really happened between them. Boreanaz also added the two have a strong connection and they also understand each other.

Meanwhile, there's also a concern when it comes to Clay's future in SEAL Team season 4. He's potentially moving towards STA-21, so there's a possibility he's leaving. Yet, CarterMatt noted the Max Thieriot's character may not be departing from the show anytime soon.

Some of the characters have been away for a while but still managed to return. For instance, Davis was away from the team for quite some time but was able to find her way back to work. Hence, Clay is capable of doing that, as well.

Although Clay's future is in question, there could be changes as SEAL Team season 4 progresses. His plans may not work out the way he wanted it to be, which leads to him going back from where he is. After all, he is one of the most significant characters in this world.
