Prince William and Kate Middleton just recently celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary. Despite having to stay inside Anmer Hall due to the pandemic crisis, the couple and their kids have seemingly enjoyed their quality time at home as they mark the relationship milestone.

Through the years, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been repeatedly praised for almost all aspects of their lives. From being committed, effective working royals, all the way to how they handle their family and relationship.

However, royal watchers and fans have recently noticed something "peculiar" on Prince William. As stated, the loving father and husband of the Cambridge household does not wear his wedding ring and never has.

According to Hello! magazine, never once when the Duke of Cambridge was seen wearing his wedding band, not even before, during, or after his nuptials at Westminster Abbey. Because of this, several followers and fans have been intrigued as to why he does not wear his ring as opposed to his wife, Kate Middleton.

It is not surprising why the public has been interested to know the reasons. Besides, wedding rings are traditionally worn by both the husband and the wife.

On Prince William's end, though, the publication revealed that the real reason behind this is that the royal born-Prince simply does not want to wear it. As explained, he never once wear any jewelry as he is not a fan of these things. While it may be surprising for some, the missing wedding band on his left ring finger is simply a matter of "personal preference."

The reports continued to assert that the Cambridge couple announced this prior to their wedding in 2011. This has been also reportedly confirmed by Westminster Abbey, where the couple had their wedding ceremony.

In a similar report released by Marie Claire, it was revealed that Prince William is not the only member of the British Royal Family who has not worn his wedding ring. As shared, Prince Philip does not also wear his wedding ring even after being married to the Queen for more than seven decades now.

Just like his grandson, the Duke of Edinburgh is also reportedly not a fan of wearing accessories or pieces of jewelry. This goes to show that royals may either wear their wedding bands or not. As cleared out, there is no royal rule that forbids them to do whatever they want with their wedding rings.
